Had a great experience at Sao Hao! The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. Everything we ordered was delicious and tasted authentic. A big shoutout to Matthew and Lizzy for providing excellent service. They were both friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The manager was also incredibly kind and made sure everything was going well, which really added to the experience. If you’re looking for great Chinese food with outstanding customer service, I highly recommend Sao Hao. We’ll definitely be coming back!

My family and I visited this Chinese restaurant for dinner, and it turned out to be a wonderful place to enjoy a meal together. The restaurant had a warm, welcoming atmosphere with comfortable seating and a lively dining room that made it perfect for sharing dishes. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. For dinner, we ordered the chili chicken, spicy cumin lamb bao, wonton soup, kung pao chicken, and beef with broccoli. The chili chicken had a great balance of crispy texture and bold, spicy flavor without being overwhelming. The spicy cumin lamb bao was soft, flavorful, and filled with tender, well-seasoned lamb that quickly became one of our favorites. The wonton soup was light, comforting, and full of delicate dumplings in a rich broth. The kung pao chicken had just the right amount of heat with plenty of fresh vegetables and perfectly cooked chicken, while the beef with broccoli was tender, savory, and paired beautifully with steamed rice. We love Sohao! Every time we visit we are so thrilled that we came. The food is fresh, delicious and perfectly executed. Tonight we had hot and sour soup, salt and pepper wings, beef ho fun and twice cooked pork belly. Sohao is the real deal. Check them out!

Best in town. Seriously. Sohao Café has been one of our go-to spots since their old SW 13th Street location, and somehow they just keep getting better. Family-run, consistently welcoming, generous portions, and some of the boldest, most authentic Sichuan food you’ll find anywhere around here. This is not watered-down “Americanized” Chinese food. No trendy fusion gimmicks. Just unapologetically authentic Sichuan dishes packed with heat, spice, smoke, and layers of flavor that keep building with every bite. The kind of place where the chili oil stains your lips, the Sichuan peppercorns leave your mouth buzzing, and your nose runs a little. Over the years, we’ve tried almost everything on the menu. The dry pot is completely addictive, the mapo tofu has that perfect numbing mala kick, and even the simpler dishes have incredible depth and balance. Some of our longtime favorites are the Chongqing chili fish fillet, Sichuan spicy boiled fish fillet, Sichuan string beans with minced pork, house eggplant, steamed fish fillet with tofu, and Mongolian beef. This family-run Chinese restaurant serves authentic dishes using real ingredients like ginger, garlic, and green onions. If you’re a fan of spicy food, this place is a must-visit. Unlike typical American Chinese restaurants that are known for their high salt and sugar content, this restaurant offers a different experience. They’re happy to accommodate your preference for milder flavors if you can’t handle spicy food without compromising the flavor. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here and will definitely be back when we’re in town again.
